For those who want to work with advanced technology and make a real impact, the cybersecurity industry offers a unique opportunity. At Tutus, Angelica and Nils develop solutions that protect sensitive information for critical public sector and defense organizations.
At Tutus, advanced technology is combined with a clear purpose: to protect sensitive information for organizations that are vital to society. Angelica and Nils are two of the people who help develop secure solutions every day – for the defense sector, public sector and beyond.
Where tech meets purpose
Angelica works as a software developer and says she was drawn to cybersecurity because it brings together problem-solving and purpose. “The work we do is technically challenging, and you’re contributing to protecting people and the functions that keep society running. That gives work a whole different level of meaning,” she explains.
For Nils, an FPGA developer, it was also the sense of contributing to something bigger that appealed to him. “What we do helps build a secure IT infrastructure for Sweden. We know exactly why our work matters. That motivates us every single day.”
They both highlight the value of working in an environment where technical excellence and responsibility go hand in hand. At Tutus, they feel they have a space to grow and collaborate with like-minded colleagues. “I work on everything from VHDL to Python, and we design the systems together,” Nils explains. “But there’s also a lot of freedom under responsibility, and you’re trusted from the beginning.”
Building tomorrow’s digital defense
Looking ahead, both see cybersecurity becoming an increasingly central part in a world where AI, cloud services and geopolitical tension are raising the stakes. “With the development we see today, we need solutions that are both smart and secure. That’s where we come in,” says Angelica.
For those curious about cybersecurity but unsure where to start, they have a clear piece of advice: just start exploring. You don’t need to know everything from the beginning. If you’re curious, there’s plenty of exciting challenges for you.
